Meet the Artist: Toshi Domaćin
Tihomir Radić, professionally known as Toshi Domaćin, is undoubtedly a well-known personality and creative phenomenon in the regional music scene of the past decade. As a music producer, composer, and sound designer, he operates largely behind the scenes, yet his sonic footprint is everywhere, most notably as a core member and the production backbone of the collective Helem Nejse. He is also the music producer in the “Roma Soul Food” project.
Born in Berlin, Toshi’s path took him through Odžak and Vienna before he ultimately settled in Sarajevo in 2013. What started as a teenage passion for electronic music and audio production has evolved into a diverse career spanning more than ten years of professional work across multiple industries. Beyond the studio, where he merges a wide range of music and media experience with innovation, his career is defined by a strong live presence and commitment. He has performed in over 150 live shows across Europe with various projects and has delivered more than 100 DJ sets. One of his most notable recent appearances was a concert with the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra in the Hall of Youth / Dom mladih in Sarajevo.
Toshi Domaćin also handles complex audio post-production, mixing, and sound design for television, web series such as LIFT, regionally known animated shows such as BBBB, theatre plays including Animal Farm and The Metamorphosis, and commercial campaigns for major brands. His recent participation in the creative promotional campaign for the football song “Svjetsko a naše” also stands out.
Toshi has a remarkable discography as a production force behind Helem Nejse’s studio albums, including Gluten Tag and Ozbiljna zaebancija, while frequently collaborating with a wide spectrum of regional artists, including Frenkie, ZHIVA, Marko Louis, and Macha Ravel. With an affinity for exploring social meaning and activism through music, Toshi is also engaged in innovative educational projects, sharing his knowledge as a co-founder and mentor at the Helem Nejse Talent Academy.
His contributions to the cultural scene have earned him the “Dražen Ričl” award for the best young author in Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with Helem Nejse, as well as the “Zvijezda pouzdanosti” / Star of Reliability award for his dedication to youth mentorship.
We are happy to have him on board our “Roma Soul Food” project as a creative spirit, skilled music producer, and music and media activist who understood our goals related to the Roma community and their music and food matrix through popular music. Above all, he is a great person who led and participated in studio sessions with great openness to spontaneous innovation.
While waiting for the music album from our project, listen to his recent song created in collaboration with the Veterans’ Club “Treće poluvrijeme” and promoted in support of the Bosnian national football team, the “Dragons”, ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The song also melodically flirts and plays with a sample from one of Šaban Bajramović’s songs.
